Timberland EMEA is looking for an exceptional Associate Demand & Inventory Planner, Apparel & Accessories to join our Demand and Inventory team based in Stabio, Switzerland.
Let's Talk about the Role
You will be responsible for developing the European demand signal and executing the European buy signal for the apparel and accessories business within a global demand and buy cycle.
Your role will include demand planning and analysis tasks for a designated part of Timberland's wholesale and distributor businesses, as well as full responsibility for the total buy (all channels, including DTC) for apparel and accessories. The focus is on optimizing market potential and minimizing Timberland's risk through integrated planning.
You will collaborate with Merchandising on product line selection, with Global Supply Planning on seasonal supply chain strategy, DC planning, and stock levels, and with various other teams such as Order Management, Country Sales Planning, etc., to maximize forecast accuracy, optimize inventory levels, control seasonal excess, ensure on-time performance, and minimize shortages.
You will also liaise with all Timberland regions and Global Supply Planning to ensure smooth global monthly buy execution and prompt resolution of potential capacity constraints. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring SCO efficiency targets, leading regional data collection, and participating in global SCO efficiency calls.
How You Will Make a Difference
You will achieve this by:

Improving the team's data analytics, with a special focus on Power BI dashboard creation and cross-category file consolidation and automation
Liaising with regional and global Supply Chain teams to develop and maintain the supply chain strategy
Ensuring forecast completeness and execution against product efficiency targets
Determining inventory needs to support demand expectations (aligned with OTB targets)
Mitigating supply constraints through pre-builds or push-outs and suggesting inventory optimization across channels/customers
Making final buy decisions and submitting dummy and final POs (purchase requisitions)
Maintaining system parameters to manage ATP and set sales order deadlines
Partnering with Merchandising to ensure weekly updates to the regional line plan
Focusing on KPIs within the planning process: adherence to inventory targets, forecast accuracy, in-DC order coverage, seasonal excess minimization, liability control, DC supply rebalance minimization, vendor order confirmation, and surcharge control

Qualifications

Minimum few years of industry experience
Fluent in English
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Computer Literate (Advanced Excel is a must)
Sound understanding of planning / forecasting, ideally using APTOS or similar systems
Experience in the Apparel and accessories industry
Commercial mindset
Power BI and Microsoft 365 Copilot knowledge

A University Bachelor or Master's degree in Economics, business or equivalent study is required a pre-requisite
